THE NATIONAL GUARD THINKS IT IS CLEVER
I was at the movies yesterday, and among the before show commercials was a advertisement for the national guard. I found it interesting that at no point in the commercial was there any mention of Iraq, Afghanistan, or the War on Terror. This ad made it seem like all the National Guard did all day was help out with Hurricane Victims (three days later), ski, and rescue pregnant women from overturned schooners. The whole thing was very dishonest, and sort of instructive as to the current mindset about the Wars. I guess the new recruits have a big surprise coming.
