RUSH LIMBAUGH CAN'T GET IT UP

Is this statement just another baseless slur against a respectable conservative commentator by the liberal media elite? No. This time I've got facts.

Read them here: Rush Limbaugh detained in Florida over Viagra pills

He apparently got stopped in a Florida airport after coming back from the Dominican republic and got his bags searched. The search turned up a bottle of the popular erectile dysfunction medication Viagra. This alone is no crime, it's wildly embarrassing, but not illegal. Rush is newly divorced and is therefore back on the market, and as revolting as this thought is, he may find himself in a position to have sex. Maybe that's why he was in the Dominican Republic, I really don't know. Even hypocritical cretins need love, and there's no harm in that. Here is the illegal part: according to the article, “Under Florida law certain prescription drugs, including Pfizer's erectile dysfunction remedy Viagra, must bear the name of the person carrying them. Violation is a second-degree misdemeanor punishable by a $500 fine and 60 days in jail.”

Rush's attorney, Roy Black, gets to the heart of the matter (the emphasis is mine):

Rush Limbaugh was detained by customs agents after they noticed a non-narcotic prescription drug, which had been prescribed by Mr. Limbaugh's treating physician but labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes.

People break the law for all kinds of reasons, shame and pride among them. Rush broke the law because he didn't want anybody to find out about his Erectile situation. I'd say that was effective. Very shrewd move. Not only has this strategy exposed for the whole world Rush's penis problems, but it has also put his deal with the Prosecutors over the whole doctor shopping fiasco in jeopardy. It turns out that the powers that be in Florida don't really give a crap about Rush's Privacy, and have launched an investigation. They said they will soon turn the case over to the States attorney. They are apparently of the opinion that celebrities are not above the law.

Maybe Rush could do for a little abstinence only education. It might keep him out of the slammer.
