At what point in a midlife crisis is it time to get the red convertible? Is it simple dream fulfillment, or does the victim believe that they look cool? There are too many of them around for it to be a coincidence. Anytime I see a red convertible the driver is one of two types of people:

1. Midlife crisis guy.

2. Rich blond sorority-type girl.

Are these observations based on anything concrete, or is this just the trend in my area? I have no real way of knowing. I do, however, promise YOU THE READER that I will keep track of this trend, as someone has to, and it might as well be me.

Rush Limbaugh was arrested over the weekend on charges that he engaged in what is know as “Doctor Shopping”. Doctor shopping is when a drug addict goes around from doctor to doctor faking symptoms and lying about other previous treatment in order to score whatever prescription drugs they are after, sort of like when Meth heads go around from one drug store and Wal-Mart to another buying their two box limit of Sudafed.

Rush cut some deal with the DA, so he posted bail and was let go, but not before he had a mug shot taken.

I am starting a collection of Right Wing hypocrite mug shots. Here's Rush:

Here is what he said about the incident, or rather part of what he said. It was from a statement given on his show, and he tends to ramble. You can read the full text here though I wouldn't recommend it. This one quote pretty much sums it up: “Case closed. Story's over. I won.”

Let's see what he won.

1.He has to get drug treatment for 18 months.

2.He has to submit to random drug testing.

3.He can not own a gun.

4.He must refrain from any violation of the law.

5.He must pay 30,000 dollars to reimburse costs of the investigation.

If he can do all that for 18 months the state will drop the charges. THEN, the story will be over, case closed. Not until then. He will at no point be a winner.

So, does that make Rush a liar? No, not really. It just makes him another scared junkie with hurt pride who had a much too close scrape with law, and is compensating with false bravado. It's everything else that comes out of his mouth that makes him a liar.
