MLK JR GOLDEN GLOBES UPDATE
I watched the awards, and can report to my surprise that a mere 3 celebrities mentioned Martin Luther King. They were Queen Latifah, at the top of the show, Chris Rock, with a funny, “you only have to be nice to black people for two more hours” joke, and lastly Bernie Taupin, who muttered something about Dr King while accepting an award. (He was wearing sunglasses at the time. That's unrelated, but I think interesting in that he was the only person all night to be seen indoors wearing sunglasses. Jack Nicholson must not have been in attendance.)
