Garlic

Important cooking tip: If you ever have a recipe that calls for one CLOVE of garlic, it means one segment of the garlic BULB. The whole BULB is not a CLOVE. If you put a whole BLUB in a recipe instead of just one CLOVE, you will be using 6 to eight times the required amount of garlic. If you could smell my apartment you would understand how I know that.
